Tell me about Shipping

 

We pack our books carefully and ship them promptly upon receipt of your order.

Within the USA:

Priority Mail or First Class service is the most reliable and quickest method of shipping.
Media Mail (less expensive) usually moves quickly from our location to yours, but there is no guarantee that it will not longer. The Post Office reserves the right to take up to a month to deliver Media Mail packages.

We use a professional label and postage-generating service that checks your address and changes it to conform to Post Office standards. We use the Post Office's Delivery Confirmation (similar to tracking) on all our shipments.



International:

Flat thin books are sent by  Priority Flat Rate Mail whenever possible. We add cardboard (as space permits) for additional protection.
Larger books do not fit this envelope and we may need to increase the postage based on size and weight.

Sometimes shipments are delayed by customs service in the destination country and is outside our control.

 

Tell me about Packaging

All books are checked carefully and cleaned if necessary. Dust jackets always get a "once over" to remove dust and fingerprints. Dust jacket protective covers are put on all dust-jacketed books over $20. The book is placed in a substantial plastic bag and taped closed to protect against moisture. The book is placed in a cardboard sandwich and mailed in a tyvek envelope. For large and heavy books, we use a cardboard box with packing material to cushion the book.
